‘The Conjuring’ Farm in Rhode Island on the Market

If you’re not afraid of ghosts, ghosts, and ghosts, you might be interested in a spooky house for sale in the New England woods.

The so-called haunted Rhode Island farm where strange things happened in the 1970s, inspiring the 2013 hit horror film “The Conjuring”, is on the market with a price that could make a ghost even paler than a ghost: $ 1.2 million.

And agents listing the circa 1826 house, located at 1677 Round Top Road in Burrillville, are working hard on the house’s reputation for horror rather than playing down haunting rumors.

“Legend has it that the house is haunted by the presence of Bathsheba Sherman, who lived in the house in the 1800s. To date, countless events have been reported,” said real estate agent Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. “The chilling stories, incidents and memories of residents and visitors to the property have been told in dozens of media productions, including books, films and television shows.”

“The critically acclaimed original film was based on the tales of the inhabitants of this fourteen-room farmhouse. Many skilled paranormal researchers were invited into the house, including Ed and Lorraine Warren, who founded the world’s oldest hunting party. ghosts of New England, ”the agency says. “In the 1970s, the Warrens were hired to rid the house of its evil. They confirmed that the events described in the ‘The Conjuring’ franchise did indeed take place.”

The advert called 14-room, 3,100-square-foot 8.5-acre home in Burrillville “one of the most famous haunted houses in America”.

The agency said the current owners, who bought the property in 2019, were renting the house to “paranormal researchers, ghost hunters and the like.”

Prior to the 2019 sale, the previous owners weren’t saying they were booing ghosts. Instead, they complained about movie fans who showed up at all hours and entered the property.

The photos and video of the ad highlight the spooky character of the house and the surrounding property.
