‘The Bachelorette’ recap: Men strutting for Gabby and Rachel

ABC/Craig Sjodin

After failing to speak to half of their 32 potential suitors and rescinding the cancellation of the rose ceremony, Monday’s episode of the bachelorette found chatterbox and Rachel face the difficult task of figuring out which of the remaining 29 men to invite on a group date.

Their solution was to enter them in a contest, while wearing speedos, to win one of six spots at the band’s after-party. The winners were Aven, Logan, Brandon, Jason, Johnny and Hake.

This led to an awkward moment for the Bachelorettes when the two focused on Logan as the recipient of their roses. Rachel ultimately went with Logan, while Gabby went with Johnny.

Rachel’s first one-on-one date, a once-in-a-lifetime Zero-G experience with Jordan V ended with the 27-year-old Georgia-based drag racer being sent home. He never got to see a country singer Brett Young and rising country star Ashley Cook perform their romantic hit “Never Til Now”.

Gabby’s one-on-one date with Natwhich included a helicopter tour of Los Angeles, followed by a steamy hot tub session, went much better, ending with her pinning the pink date on him.

Meanwhile, back at the mansion, Chris‘ Talking prematurely about fantasy sequels and his intention to leave the competition if either of the girls were intimate with another contestant, without telling them in advance, ticked off some of the men, who told him brought to the attention of Gabby and Rachel at the Pre-Rose Cocktail Party. He was eventually fired. This led to a brief confrontation between Chris and his accusers, after which he was escorted off the premises.

At the rose ceremony, Brandan, Colin, John, Justin B., Mast and ryan were sent home.
