Equestrian oasis in horse country Florida owned by Grammy-winning musician is now for sale
On the market for $ 3,485,000, the 26-acre estate in Ocala, Florida offers not only a home built for fun, but also an equestrian facility designed to satisfy any horse lover.
“It has over 14,000 square feet under the roof between the house, the stable, a workshop garage and a riding hall,” explains the listing agent, Carlos tobon. “It is a very nice place to relax and get away from your everyday things.”
What are sellers Olga Tañon and her husband, Billy Denizard, have been doing since they bought the property in 2013.
Tañón is a Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning recording artist from Puerto Rico, known as “Woman of Fire” or “Mujer de Fuego”.
Denizard is a television producer with a passion for all things equestrian. For years the couple raised and sold horses, but Tobon says that time in their life is over and they’re ready to move on.
Gated and private, the home measures 4,852 square feet, with five bedrooms and 5.5 baths.
The upscale kitchen is open and leads directly to a large room designed for entertaining.
“It’s done very tastefully, with high-end finishes and appliances. It’s just very inviting, ”says Tobin. “They love to have company and enjoy family in the configuration they had.”
A spacious master bedroom is enhanced by two wardrobes, as well as a spa bathroom. A 560 square foot glazed room adjoins the bedroom and is designed for an owner to view the entire property.
“You can see the 26 acres from there,” says Tobon.
It’s also equipped with one of the largest pool cages you’ve ever seen, making it a great entertainment spot whatever the season.
“The more than 3,800 square feet of swimming pool are all laid out on brick pavers, on a concrete foundation,” says Tobon.
In addition to the pool and spa, there is also an outdoor kitchen. The wire mesh cage covers everything, so there is no need to worry about pesky insects.
“There is night time lighting inside the pool and cage so you can have 24 hour entertainment if you want.”
Not far from the swimming pool, you will find a full-size basketball court and a pond.
As beautiful as the house is, the real highlight of this property are the equestrian facilities.
“The equestrian facility is an 18-stall cinder block barn of approximately 5,600 square feet,” says Tobon.
A feed room and saddlery can be found at one end of the barn next to the office, as well as a two bedroom apartment. One of the stalls can become a foaling stall, with removable walls.
“[The owners] used to breed and show horses there. At the end of the barn on a paved walking area is a round covered enclosure 40 feet in diameter with an observation area, ”he says.
For car enthusiasts, there is a 3,200 square foot garage and utility building and hookups for RVs and horse trailers.
The entire estate is equipped with cameras and multiple levels of security, creating a safe and private space.
And while the setting is peaceful and secluded, it’s a short drive from Ocala, Florida Horse Park, and the World Equestrian Center.
“The perfect buyer is anyone who appreciates proximity to all of the city’s amenities, as well as an equestrian sports lover who loves paradise and an oasis,” Tobon said. “You will have the best of both worlds. You are in the countryside and you live on a farm, but you are close to everything.
Tañón, 54, from Puerto Rico, has released 14 studio albums and recorded a number of singles topping the Latin music charts. She won the Grammy Award for Best Merengue Album in 2000 and 2001.
