Results of 55th Annual Pleasanton Young Farmer Rodeo Announced

That didn’t happen in 2020, but wild horses couldn’t stop the Pleasanton Young Farmers from hosting the 55th Annual Open Rodeo and Festival in 2021. Held August 20-21 at the Show Barn Atascosa County in Pleasanton, “The Richest Open Rodeo in Texas” awarded a total payout of $ 30,280, including $ 13,500 in additional money.

Atascosa Livestock Exchange sponsored the 2021 Cowboy Saddle of the Year which was awarded to Brandon Smith. William “Ernie” Bandy and Robert May were inducted into the South Texas Hall of Fame.

Fall Guerra, senior at Pleasanton High School, has been crowned Cowboy Reunion Queen 2021. The Princesses are Ally Sherley, Raylin Castillo, Erin Light and Linda Sanchez.

Sponsored by Clear Creek Ranchers Supply, the buckles were awarded to All Around Cowboy Champion Forrest Fisher and All Around Cowgirl Champion Breanna Meyer. The 1st prize calf scramble bike was sponsored by Angie Cude Properties and the 2nd to 5th place ropes were provided by Ron and Sandy Rickaway.
