Adel Villalobosmanaging director and founder of the developer and manufacturer of dietary supplements Lief Laboratorieswas honored by the Canyons College Business Alliance among other Hispanic business owners, executives and entrepreneurs for Hispanic Heritage Month.
Lief Labs and College of the Canyons are local entities located in the Santa Clarita Valley area.
“I am honored and very grateful to the College of the Canyons Business Alliance to have been recognized along with my esteemed fellow Hispanic business owners honored as part of Hispanic Heritage Month,” Villalobos said in a statement.
Other winners included Agustin Prieto of California bakery; peruvian restaurant Lima Limon; Real estate agent Diego Saco; and trucking company Carter Saco Logistics. All winners were recognized at an event in Canyons College September 21.
Also present was California Assemblyman Suzette Martinez Valladaresmember of the council of Santa Clarita Bill Mirandaand representatives from the Los Angeles County Supervisor’s Offices catherine barger; Rep. Mike GarciaR-Santa Clarita and State Sen. Scott Wilck.
Lief Laboratories in Villalobos recently launched a training program in partnership with the College of the Canyons that instructs student Lief employees in basic electrical maintenance, hydraulics, tooling, and other areas. The 14-week program at Lief’s Avenue Paine Headquarters provides participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for careers and advancement at Lief.
